After being prompted by PETA, home design company Jagoe Homes confirmed that it would join Polyram Plastic Industries, paint manufacturer PPG Industries, and health and nutrition company DSM in pulling financial support of the Hadi Shrine Circus in Indiana—one of the last shows still exploiting elephants and other animals for entertainment. Jagoe Homes’ owner compassionately said, “It’s nice how your organization is changing the world on how circuses are handling wild animals. … Keep up the good work and maybe all animals will be out of the circus someday.” More and more circuses—including Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus—are going animal-free, and Shrines have no excuse for depriving wild animals of any semblance of a natural life, especially in the name of entertainment. Take action today by urging the Hadi Shrine and Shriners International to drop cruel animal acts!
