Rocky was living on the streets of a small town. At his age, there was no way he’d make it on his own. Human intervention was paramount. Thankfully, a woman came to his aid. She picked the precious boy up and brought him home. Rocky was given a meal and some water. At first, he looked at his rescuer like he was unsure what to do. He hadn’t been inside a home before and it was an overwhelming experience. But soon, the yummy smell of the food wafted through the air and he couldn’t resist.
The puppy was eternally grateful for the woman’s generosity and ate everything in his dish. Rocky had fleas, which needed to be addressed swiftly. His new human friend gave him a flea bath, and the pup felt better instantly. Next, it was time for a dewormer and an introduction to his rescuer’s cat. He wasn’t quite sure what to make of the cat, and the cat was surely hesitant of him as well.
Soon, Rocky received snuggles from the woman and he stole her heart in a matter of seconds. He quickly fell asleep in her arms, showing that he, too, felt the same way. The following day, Rocky headed to the vet for his vaccinations. Then, they headed back home, where Rocky discovered his first toy. Seeing him play brought so much joy to his rescuer.
As much as his rescuer adored him, she knew she couldn’t keep him. There were too many animals out there who needed her help. She screened potential adopters and chose the perfect family for Rocky: a woman with two kids and their grandparents.
Once at his new home, the woman tearfully said goodbye to Rocky and wished him a wonderful life filled with all the love in the world. Now it’s time to save more animals in need, just like Rocky!
