Thankfully, the team at Mercy Full Project stepped up in a big way. They gave Coco and Sunshine all the love and care they could, helping the pups feel safe and loved again. Slowly, the dogs began to smile again, holding onto hope that something better was coming.
And they were right to believe!
The shelter staff made it their mission to find these two sweethearts a home—but there was one important condition. They needed to stay together! They had always been by each other’s side, and separating them wasn’t an option.
Before long, a wonderful family came along who instantly felt a connection with the duo. As soon as they met Coco and Sunshine, they knew these dogs were meant to be part of their lives. The bond was clear, and everyone could see that this match was special.

“Now, these adorable furballs are bringing endless joy to their new pawrents! Their new home is filled with laughter, cuddles, and plenty of treats! We couldn’t be more thrilled to see them so happy and settled. Congratulations to Sunshine and Coco on finding your forever home! We wish you all the love, care, and treats in the world,” the shelter wrote in a Facebook post.
Seeing dogs finally get the love they’ve always given is truly heartwarming. A huge thank you to everyone who helped Coco and Sunshine find a family that cherishes them.
