Raw feed. We had a very allergic girl & the vet did tests on her, there was no manufactured food she could eat. After trawling the internet and spending my days making barley pudding with milk (bizarrely not allergic to milk and barley was the only cereal she could eat! couldn’t even have potatoes!) we went back to the vet, I took a deep breath and said what do you think about raw feeding? The vet was instantly can you manage it? I said I can learn!! So we joined a raw feeding group and off we went! It’s actually easier now because you can buy it! I spent weeks, some mornings blitzing a whole herring to give her, coming up with different meals, finding butchers that didn’t cost the earth! Best thing we ever did for her! She lived until she was 11, she had a dreadful heart murmur and eventually passed away with heart failure but until that point she had no further tummy issues and was as fit as a fiddle, always running with our other dog and playing

I give my animals a can of sardines every now & then. I also feed Supreme Source salmon. She’s skinny, though. Every now & then, she gets a piece of cheese. We didn’t do well with another dog food for allergies. It was a Purina brand. She had a lot of coat issues.

Science Diet was a good choice when my Weim had allergies. It’s expensive, but she ate it without allergy symptoms.

My gal had mast cell reaction and cancer so she was allergic to just about everything. The only food she tolerated was RX Royal Canin Ultamino . it’s hydrolyzed protein. We couldn’t even give her treats of really any brand or she would get really sick. She would do ok with small amount of bread tho.
