You have to take care of all nutritional needs. I use Nulo kibble and cook up a weekly batch of ground turkey, carrots, celery, spinach, brown rice and add pumpkin puree to add. Berries have anti inflammatory properties so blueberry would be a good add also

My vet put my dog on hills science j/d. He still has some days where he is sore but other days you wouldn’t even know it. I couldn’t believe the difference this food made.

Raw if you can do it, or Acana grass lands. Just make sure you ad glucosamine and krill oil or grizzly oil (you can get this at any woofies store) as well as Chondrite. For joint health. You may have to augment with Gabapentin or Meloxicam or Metacam daily depending on the severity. I had my boy on all of it by the time he was 11.
