Penny was found wandering the streets fragile, scared, and heartbreakingly thin. Thanks to a kind passerby, she was brought to safety with us.  We immediately got to work to help her heal, however she failed to gain weight, and this concerned us.   After some tests, we discovered the heartbreaking reason, a tumour. Penny then developed a build-up of fluid on her abdomen, and our brave girl underwent surgery.  Sadly, the vets found more tumours.  Even in the face of this, Penny came through surgery like a champ.

We aren’t sure how long we have with this sweet girl, but Penny has proven herself to be a little fighter.  She might be small, but she’s mighty. She keeps on the fight, and we’re all cheering her on every step of the way,  we will be here for her as long as she needs us.  She will never be alone again.
