The infections were so severe that the veterinary team called them the worst ear infections they had ever encountered. Specialists are now working closely with his rescuers to determine whether his ear canals can be saved.
The painful discoveries continued. Bolt also has a broken hip, another injury that had likely been causing him discomfort for a significant amount of time. Given his fragile overall condition, veterinarians determined that surgery was not the best option and instead focused on stabilizing and improving his health.
Despite the extensive medical issues, Bolt has shown remarkable resilience throughout his recovery journey.

The dog received his fitting name because of his uniquely shaped tail, which curves like a lightning bolt. It is a small detail, but one that perfectly matches his energetic and determined personality.
