Sometimes the biggest hearts come with the biggest surprises. Gigi, a lovable one-year-old St. Bernard, only wanted to cool off on a warm day at her family’s home in Corona, never imagining her simple plan would turn into an unforgettable backyard adventure. As the gentle giant eagerly made her way toward the family’s inflatable pool, her excitement outweighed her awareness of her own size. Within moments, a playful attempt to enjoy the water became a hilarious scene that left the yard flooded, her family laughing, and Gigi happily wagging her tail as if everything had gone exactly as planned.
As a giant breed, Gigi had never been shy about climbing into the family’s inflatable pool. She loved cooling off on warm days, and her owners had become used to seeing her happily splash around. This time, however, her enthusiasm was just a little bigger than the pool could handle.

Looking back on the moment, Luke laughed as he recalled the conversation.
“It was funny because we had just been talking about how much she loved the pool and how she could get in and out of it with no problems. Boy were we wrong.”

Despite their enormous size, they often seem completely unaware of just how much space they occupy. Gigi was not trying to make a mess or cause trouble. Although the inflatable pool did not survive the adventure, the water spread across the entire backyard, creating one giant splash zone for a short time. Judging by Gigi’s happy expression and constantly wagging tail, she seemed convinced the new arrangement was even better than the original pool.
