The two new offerings were announced on September 8, 2026, and will join familiar favorites such as Thin Mints®, Samoas®/Caramel deLites® and Peanut Butter Patties®/Tagalongs® during the 2027 Girl Scout Cookie season. Both products grew from an idea Girl Scouts themselves have championed: making cookie season more inclusive for the different families and communities they serve.
A Girl Scout Cookie Experience Just for Dogs
For dog-loving households, Patch Pals offer a particularly playful twist on the tradition. Developed with BARK, the dog-focused company known for its toys, treats and other pet products, Patch Pals are soft-baked dog cookies with a blueberry muffin flavor. Instead of simply making another dog treat, the collaboration connects the cookies directly to the Girl Scout experience.
Each treat is baked with one of four different “patch” designs inspired by iconic Girl Scout activities and experiences. The concept gives families a lighthearted way to include their dogs in a tradition that has long brought people together.
For many families, dogs are already present during everyday moments, celebrations, and family traditions. They may sit nearby while Girl Scouts organize cookie boxes, accompany families on neighborhood walks or simply wait hopefully whenever someone opens a snack. Patch Pals recognize that bond in a fun new way. While humans enjoy their favorite Girl Scout cookies, dogs will have a treat designed specifically for them.

Girl Scout Sparkables were developed with Partake®, a food company founded by Denise Woodard after her daughter was diagnosed with multiple food allergies. The new cookies are intended to make Girl Scout Cookie season more welcoming for families navigating certain dietary restrictions.
Sparkables are crunchy oatmeal cookies made with chocolate chips and colorful sprinkles. They are produced in a facility designed to avoid the nine major food allergens: wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, milk, eggs, soy, fish, sesame and shellfish. The addition marks the first Girl Scout cookie developed specifically with allergy-conscious families in mind.
For children and parents who have previously had to carefully examine ingredients or skip certain treats altogether, having another option can make a familiar community tradition feel more inclusive. The colorful cookies were designed to bring some of the fun and excitement of cookie season to people who may not have always been able to participate in the same way.

More Than a Box of Cookies
Although the lineup continues to evolve, the purpose behind the Girl Scout Cookie Program remains much the same. Both will be sold exclusively online for direct shipping beginning January 12, 2027, when the national 2027 Girl Scout Cookie season launches. Local cookie season dates may vary, with the annual program generally taking place between January and April.
