For Brad Pitt, coming home means being greeted by wagging tails, unconditional excitement, and now one more four-legged family member. While attending the Sept. 16 global premiere of his new survival thriller, Heart of the Beast, in Franklin, Tennessee, the 62-year-old actor revealed that his household recently welcomed a third dog, and this newest member is a rescue.
The sweet revelation felt especially fitting on a night when dogs were not simply part of the movie being celebrated. They were also sharing the red carpet and getting some well-deserved attention of their own.
Pitt shared the news while talking about his dogs Jacques and Blackout Superstar. Asked how they reacted when he returned home carrying the scent of Uber, the German shepherd who plays Odin in Heart of the Beast, Pitt explained that his dogs seemed more interested than jealous.
Then he casually revealed that the family had grown. “We got a third now. So, yeah, a rescue,” Pitt told Extra.
Rather than feeling threatened by another dog’s scent, Pitt said his pets tend to become curious. As he described it, another canine smell simply seems to suggest that something interesting has been happening.
